Subprocessors

A subprocessor is a third party we use to run the Services that may process personal information in the course of doing so. This page is the current list, referenced by our Privacy Policy and our Data Processing Addendum.
Each subprocessor is bound by a written agreement to protect the data, use it only to provide services to us, and meet obligations at least as protective as ours. We keep this page current rather than restating the list inside the policies, so that adding a vendor does not require amending them.
| Subprocessor | Purpose | Data it may process | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Azure | Application hosting, PostgreSQL database, file and media storage | All account data and all customer content | United States |
| OpenAI | Photo captioning, voice memo and video transcription, project summaries | Photos, video, audio, and post text submitted to AI features | United States |
| Twilio | Text messaging — update requests, upload links, schedule notices | Mobile phone numbers, message content, delivery and opt-out status | United States |
| Stripe | Subscription billing and payment processing | Billing contact details and payment card data, which Stripe collects directly — we never receive card numbers | United States |
| Cloudflare | Bot protection on sign-up (Turnstile) | IP address and browser signals at sign-up only | United States |
What OpenAI receives, specifically
Because it is the least obvious entry on this list, it is worth stating plainly: when a photo, video, or voice memo is uploaded, the actual file is transmitted to OpenAI to generate a caption or transcript. It is not anonymized. We use OpenAI's API under terms that prohibit training their models on our submissions, and OpenAI retains API content only briefly for abuse monitoring before deleting it. See Section 4 of the Privacy Policy.
Changes to this list
We will update this page before a new subprocessor begins processing customer data. Customers may subscribe to notice of changes by emailing support@dailylog.com with the subject line Subprocessor Notice. If you reasonably object to a new subprocessor on data-protection grounds, tell us within 30 days and we will work with you in good faith; if we cannot resolve it, you may terminate the affected subscription and receive a refund of prepaid unused fees.
Not subprocessors
Optional integrations that you choose to connect are not our subprocessors. When you connect one, you are directing us to send data to a provider you have your own relationship with, and that provider's terms govern what it does with the data.
